The front page of CNN.com had what I thought was the oddest symbol of freedom, a barber giving a guy a shave in Kabul. Something that would never occur to most Americans as a freedom is a big deal now. And they can probably have music on the radio in the shop… and have a Alberto Vargas pinup calendar, ooh-la-la. Wet T-shirt contests are probably a little bit much for right now but all those women wearing burquas all their lives better get some sunglasses and a shitload of sunscreen.
