I have no doubt it was a deliberate shout-out to that scene. Jen was dressed and made up and coiffed exactly like Cosima, and even danced like her.
So if you recognized that, that clip was for you. No need to be sad.
By the way, I’m sad that now… now, when I need to go back and watch Tatiana being an amazing actress, Orphan Black has been dropped from two streaming services.

But where can I stream at least the first season? I’d hate to break down and actually buy it…
I think so. But satirical media about other media is pretty hit and miss and heavily dependent on how you feel about the source material.
Try some of his non-Pitch Meeting videos. They’re the same back-and-forth format, but about other stuff. “The Future is Dumb” is about a time traveling reporter from the 1990s and is pretty good.
He’s done hundreds of these sketches. Some are funnier than others. A lot of them depend on your being familiar with his catch phrases. A lot of them also depend on your investment in the type of criticisms he is satirizing. His Game of Thrones one is one of the better ones.
Note his first ones are kinda slow. He really hits his stride when he makes quicker cuts and speeds things up.
And since there are people who haven’t heard of Ryan George, im also gonna recommend Honest Trailers which is similar. In fact they’ve done crossovers before.
I’m of the opinion they are homaging Legal Eagle. They’re both similarly handsome and dress very sharp. Not impossible. Other YT personalities were pulled for the show
FINALLY getting around to watching this (Toxicity…not here…delays my viewing sometimes) once we get past a few cringy bits near the begininng this show is a LOT of fun.
And I really have to give the bulk of the credit for making it work to Tatiana Maslany. It’s a huge difference when she is on screen as opposed to CGI She Hulk. And it’s amazing how she has chemistry with just about everyone she appears with.
Did you find Orphan Black online/streaming? It’s been dropped from the two services it was on in the states.
I loved Orphan Black when it came out, and Tatiana played multiple roles beautifully. So I was excited to see her cast as Jennifer Walters…and she did not disappoint.
