Maybe- Some of you may remember that I took a leave of absence because I loaned my laptop out to my pregnant friend who is bedbound. Well, she’s still bedbound (doing good, though.)but- I may have my old job back!!! That means I can check the boards daily and post and such. Here’s the short story:
October- our company closed and laid everyone off- very sad. I had only been there for 3 months (I was the Network Administrator) and I REALLY liked it there. Since then I’ve been doing some work for my husbands company (boring database stuff).
When the company laid us off, they said we were getting called back, but I lost faith in that. Then today, they called and said that they got bought, and want me to start back on Monday as a sub-contractor to be hired back permanently possibly in a few weeks. At first they wanted me to work under the table for a while, but I refused to do that.
Anyway, (If anyone cares) I’m very excited, and I only hope my second day back isn’t as bad as my second day there was. (snicker). Keep your good thoughts coming that they hire me back permanently!!
PS- I got registered for school and start on January 22nd. I’m already getting ahead with my reading.
