I’d suggest a baby shower, but heck if I know what one should buy for a newborn TechnoSphere carnivore. (Then again, heck if I know what one should buy a newborn anything.)

Don’t rush out just yet… sometimes these carnivores take their time having kids. Irk_SDMB has been pregnant since long before the boards went down. But it’s probably related to body type, because other carnivores have given birth in less time.
Anyway, congratulations on your… daughter? granddaughter? err… Congratulations to you!! And of course to the proud parents, may their lives be long and not end brutally.
cazzle, wow, Irk_SDMB has been pregnant for quite a long time. According to the FAQ (which I just checked,) creatures who go from “adult” to “ancient” while pregnant will abort. (There are no senile new parents in the TechnoSphere, I guess.) Here’s hoping baby Irk beats the time limit.
The FAQ also says that the creature who initiated the… um… “encounter” (knew I should have started this thread in the Pit) is the one who gets pregnant. (What a wonderful world that is!) So it looks like everybody is lusting after me, or at least my creature. I’m just going to sit back and enjoy this for a while… remember everybody, flowers and chocolate are always appreciated…
I just got mine yesterday and it’s already pregnant. I knew I should’ve had that talk with it. But now it’s too late and it looks like I’m gonna have an unwed parent on my hands.
I blame you and your weak genetics in helping create lil’ DingoI , who was immediately killed by a weak Herbie. He wasn’t even .0088 years old yet, killed when life was a vast canvas before him, waiting to be painted with the brush of his dreams.

Aww man, and here I was so proud and happy I even rushed over here to make the announcement. I figured we’d be one big happy carnivore family, having lovely family meals of herbivore (or mulched herbivore, for the baby,) before we all sat down together before the TechnoFireplace to read some TechnoStories to each other.
But no! Now TechnoAttorneys (the next level beyond carnivores, I assume) have gotten involved. Fine, I want 50% custody. You can have the… um… hmm, it seems I don’t actually have anything anyway.
