She's Here!!!! A new doper

A blessing! Welcome to the world, Teagun!

Not to muscle in on this arranged marriage thing with Cristi’s son, or anything, but if she decides she’s into older men, I have these three great sons . . . .

Slainte!

-Melin

Melin: I have a daughter too, and she likes older men. I’ve been looking to marry her off for a while now, but she’s a bit feisty. She’d make a great lawyer.

A picture of the placenta? Wow. I didn’t want to see mine. Nope. Just get it gone, thanks.

:::nudge nudge::: pssst…hey Shirley, did the doctor give you an extra stitch?

Wow. Congratulations! I had back labor (I’d only wish THAT on my ex-twitchhusband). I hope my next one is as easy as yours. I wish you the best!

Crowded elevators smell differently to dwarfs.

Congrats on your new little one! I’ll pass on the placenta stew. Our Babypony #2 is due 8 Aug, I can’t wait.

Yeah, I vaguely remember this stuff. It’s been 5 years. A coworker is going to be the dad of twins any day now. Congratulations.

Congratulations, Shirley!
Thank you so much for the non-horrifying labor story! It seemed like you actually had a pretty good time. (Much more fun than those whiny women on “A Baby Story” :))

I keep trying to convince my husband that we need one soon but he’s not going for it! (Even though there is speculation among my friends, coworkers, etc that I am pregnant right now…)

Best wishes and lots of luck with your new bundle of wrinkly, Walter Matthau-looking bundle of joy!!

The dumber people think you are, the more surprised they’re going to be when you kill them.

Huzzah! All the best to you and yours. Glad my son has a prom date now.
I’m glad your birthing was as it was - me, I was a victim of back labour.
I think only the babies who squeeze through the birth canal have the grumpy old man mein, and who can blame them. C-section babies look more like cabbage patch kids.

All you need to start an asylum is an empty room and the right kind of people.

Congratulations Shirley, and don’t worry, it will be no time before your grumpy old man makes you think she is Helen Keller. ‘Watch were you’re going!!! Listen to me!!’ shall soon become reflexive as I’m sure you already know.

Then she kafka’s once more into that which exists to give you grey hairs and boys broken hearts.

Shayna, how in the heck did you do that cool graphic? ( I hate being a computer retard, but it comes so naturally to me.)

No problemo. There is so many depressing and pessimistic things to believe in in life, that labor, IMHO, is not really one of them. BECAUSE although it does hurt and it is painful, it is a pain that will end. ( AND there are wonderful drugs to take to help things be more controlable.)

Personally, I beleive in so many of the pessimistic angles of life, but I will not prescribe to them for pregnancy and labor because I believe that the negativity just sucks the life out of you and that you start to imagine problems, they happen. Not that I’m perky girl during pregnancy either, but I pride myself in being well read and well informed about the what if’s of the entire experience.

If I had to do the entire thing without drugs, I still would not have told how much it hurt because I do my best not to be what I call a Mommy Mental Terrorist.
