"Shockwave flash may be busy, or it may have stopped responding"

The message says it all. What in hell can I do to resolve this intermittent problem? Tried googling and can’t seem to find any specific cause or solution! Happens quite often when trying to click on links.

What browser are you using?

Firefox 33.1

You might try resetting Firefox. I had to do that yesterday because malware hooked itself onto Firefox and kept popping up everytime I started Firefox.

Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
Click the “Reset Firefox” button.
Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

WARNING: You will lose all of your extensions and possibly preferences. Also, any Theme you may have installed.

Yup, did that a few days ago. Didn’t help. Your warnings are better than the warnings that firefox provided. Took me a while to figure out that the extensions were blown away.

I had something like that happen a couple of times, and fixed it by re-installing the Flash plugin off the Adobe web site.

I know it’s no help, but crashing computers seems to be standard behavior for Adobe products.

Isn’t it funny, how a computer program can be written to diagnose any problem in the world, except a computer probolem.
