I’ll bet this isn’t the sort of memorial W. envisioned.

A monument with a lot of sole.

too funny! i love it.

Laced with tongue-waggin’ irony, ain’t it?

Tripler
Did he hit Dubya? Nah, only got a wingtip.

“Mr. President, if we invade Iraq now, before the decade is out the Iraqis will be erecting public statues as memorials.”

As well as Dubya ducked that shoe, I kept wanting him to snatch it in mid-flight all ninja style and fling it back at that motherfucker and knock his ass out.

I’m sorry, but regardless of whom the President is, that’s MY president, and don’t fling your stupid shoe at him unless you want a Secret Service beatdown of a lifetime.

… didn’t miss him by much!

Man, it’s been barely two weeks, and his Legacy is already in the crapper

In Arabic that signs reads “Do not pass Go, do not collect $200.”

Tied up a pair of threads on this subject.

You’re welcome to him. Take him, use him, and enjoy.

I’m so done with him.

It just goes to show that the journalist was …instep TA RA!..with current Iraqi thought

When MY president is an ignorant, corrupt douchebag, I applaud when shoes are thrown at him.

“Take my President, please!”

Bad news, folks.

:frowning:

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not defending W, but the Office of the President instead. Whether it’s US Grant or Abe Lincoln, I don’t want a foreign journalist throwing shoes at him, regardless of the circumstances.

And don’t get me wrong. I’m not just expressing my opinion about W. I believe that the “Office of the President” is due absolutely no deference or respect that the current holder of that office has not specifically earned through his own conduct. If he’s acting in a manner that is deserving of the disrespect shown by throwing shoes, then, I say disrespect away. Whether it’s U.S. Grant or Abe Lincoln, if he is showing disrespect for the people of the world, they should feel free to treat him with concomitant disrespect, and I will applaud them.

I wonder what the opinions of those who applaud the shoe thrower would be if it comes to pass, that someone throws a watermelon rind at Obama?

Just wondering.

Depends. Will Obama have loused up the office with his black ways? :dubious:

I mean, seriously. It’s not like people dislike Bush because he’s Republican.

Well, to be fair, many modern Presidents have “shown disrespect for the people of the world” but ah…meh, I got nothin’.
