Shootout Between Chicago Police & Cook County Sheriff Deputies Many Years Ago?

Is anyone acquainted with an incident of a shootout between Chicago police and Cook County sheriff deputies many years ago? (it was a situation where neither of them realized the other was law enforcement)

Any chance you may be thinking of the incident where 4 white Chicago police officers shot a black railroad police officer 28 times (and he survived)?

That’s misleading. According to your own link, the black police officer committed a traffic violation and then puled a gun on the white cops first. The black cop went to prison for his actions.

Thanks, but no–there were several cops and several deputies.
