Shop class no no’s Shorts, long hair and giant prosthetic boobs?

No, I’ve clearly stated exactly what I know, and nothing more or less. I’ve never had anyone say this “one teacher is mocking another” thing, I’ve never heard anyone suggest that theory before you posted it.

hey not bad rack tho

Actually I think the below was the first time I heard that possibility suggested.

No, that’s quite disingenuous. Chronos was theorizing a much more specific scenario, and then suggested it was possible I had been told it was the case, but I had not, and never suggested I had.

Depends on the wig and its manner of attachment. Some wigs or hairpieces are pretty firmly affixed. Even if it just briefly jerks your face towards something dangerous, that’s obviously bad. You could still hit yourself against running machinery, or stumble as a result of the surprise, or your shirt could become caught or something by being drawn closer to the equipment.

I mean, I suspect a great many people do use machinery with long hair and don’t get killed by it. Unless your hair is Crystal Gayle long, it would not be THAT much of a risk.

It’s not having long hair that’s the problem so much is that you need to tie it back. Even Crystal Gayle would be safe if she made sure her hair was secured and out of the way. Letting it in hang in front of you while you’re using power tools? Like I said, Darwin Award waiting to happen.

Are you actually reading the thread?

I missed Cheesesteak’s posts, yes. I figured you were now kidding around with that second comment. I mean, come on, if the teacher was mocking another teacher, why is a school board trustee sticking up for them?

Is the school board sticking up for them or just not saying anything (to the public/media)?

I would like it to be clear that I was responding to the suggestion made in this thread that this may have been mocking rather than a genuine personal style choice. I did not intend to imply that this was a concern brought up by people familiar with this situation, and agree that the concept seems counter to the generally supportive type of responses given by the district.

Possibly because the trolling teacher is purporting to genuinely identify as a woman and threatening legal action?

I haven’t had a chance to read this, but here’s an update

What, they just noticed?

Just kidding. I think this might be the most elucidating quote.

The decision to place the teacher on leave came after The Post reported that journalists followed her and discovered she only wears prosthetics in class and appears to dress as a man while not at work.

Huh, sounds like this Lemieux was trolling all along.

Y’all missed her skydiving experience with Voodoo the ex porn actor turned skydiving instructor? She was wearing her rig but lost her wig while strapped to Voodoo after jumping out of the plane.

Interesting she says in the article she has real boobs but they’re growing huge due to a medical condition and she’s not trans just intersex.

Whatever.

After parental protests, I believe that a “professional dress code” was introduced for teachers at the behest of the Conservative provincial government. After some fanfare, the new dress code failed to mention any of the things relevant to this story. And so some parents are allegedly protesting that.

To be clear, The Post is this Post.

Sounds like some serious mental health issues there. If the Post is accurate – considering the source, that’s a big if – they clearly are the same person despite protests to the contrary.

One of the worst-written articles I’ve seen recently (even for the Post). Also, even if accurate, many transphobic assumptions (for example, that a trans persn must dress in the target gender at all times or else they’re not really trans). I agree that this person’s story isn’t on the level, though.

I’ll say what I said months ago… I don’t know enough about this to have a judgement. And I don’t trust the Post either.

My position is also unchanged.

Only curve to that now is the claim that the individual is now claiming to be some form of XX intersex with a rare case of gigantomastia (which is even more rare to not have cause such back pain as to have had surgical reduction)??

The board obviously knows more and is acting in accordance to what they know. We have no right to that information be it that the person is a cis male troll or someone in mental or neurological crisis.

The story getting press, and being presented here, always was about its utility to the war on the transgendered.

I’m going to stick with my initial response, too. Bolding added.
