I am a little curious why the camera was available. It was clearly across a major street from the store, so it’s doesn’t seem like it would be a connected private security system. Do Cops have eye in the sky systems in Texas? After the pull out that one seemed very high mounted.
It was a TV station’s tower camera (for live weather, traffic, and scenic shots), not anything police or security related.
Cute but stupid. Drat.
I see the news story has been updated to include her name and a warrant is out for her arrest. She’ll probably face a stiffer charge for fleeing than for the shoplifting.
I guess her friend/accomplice ratted her out. Thats the only way they could have gotten her name so fast.
