Ugh, the callers! I do think many of them are lonely and just want to talk, especially the older callers. The worst ones, IMO, and as someone else mentioned, are the ones who call in and give monosyllabic replies. I’m wondering WHY did you call (or agree to talk on air)???
Sometimes the callers actually turn me off an item. I might be looking at an article of clothing, when “Gladys” calls in (I actually heard two Gladys calls the other day), and I decide “no.” Often Gladys sounds about 85 years old – not that 85 can’t be fashionable.
Shawn’s coming out with a new line called “Hear My Anus Fart”. I have no idea how Q Corporate can keep her employed. I guess she still has enough minions who think she’s cute, funny and caring. Caring, my ass. All she cares about is her bottom line.
Interesting that Lisa R. is in Vegas same time as the Evine live folk are there – she’s even posting pics of herself with some of the Evine hosts. Surprised she allowed herself to be near Heather Hall, who is a real beauty.
Agree with all of you on Shawnie Sue – she’s a total trainwreck. The only Q hosts who turns me off more than her is Kristen.
I was also shocked that Lisa was photographed with Heather Hall. I think she is around LR’s age and she looks fabulous!!! Someone posted on Lisa’s FB page that Lisa would soon be working as a buyer for Evine. Lisa deleted this post very quickly. I highly doubt that is true anyway. Lisa working as a low life buyer…BEHIND the scenes…NOT in front of a camera. No way would LR take a job like that.
I wonder if Lisa R. will run into Paul Kelly while she is in Vegas. Remember him…HUGE tall guy…he was a host for a while on the Q and then he worked behind the scenes for a while. He was involved with the 50/50 tour back in the 90’s. Last I heard he was at Evine. He and LR shacked up for a while. I never did see her attraction to him.
If this was facebook I’d want to “like” it a million times. So cringeworthy! Why do they subject us all to this? I get vicariously embarrassed for the poor yokels who call in. Ugh.
Anyone thinking that Lisa might be going to Evine? I might start watching more if she did. I saw her pix with Kathy Levine and Judy Crowell on FB and they are apparently on Evine (which used to be ShopNBC then ShopHQ.)
Anyone ordered from them? I have watched it a bit, but not very much. I never order from TV so I don’t make impulsive choices, I shop from the websites. Evines wasn’t very user friendly and didn’t (at the time I looked) have a wishlist function at all so I just wrote them off.
I have seen some really cute handbags on there. (I admit it, I’m a handbagaholic).
I think Kathy is in her mid-60’s. She looks great in that pic, but it’s partially from surgery and mostly from Lisa’s magic photo app, which blurs imperfections. Makes eyes look scary sometimes, too.
I’ve wondered if Lisa R. would go to Evine or HSN but I don’t think so. JMO of course, but why would you leave QVC where you are top dog and go to another lesser shopping channel? It just doesn’t make sense to me. Maybe she is going to develop her own line…not not GILI where she was just the sales person for it…but actually have her own line of whatever and sell on Evine or HSN?
She sure has the minions who want to buy every outfit and accessory she wears in her pictures on FB. Cracks me up. They all clamor to find out where they can buy her clothes. Please.
I think Heather Hall is a good 7-8 years younger than Lisa but I agree Heather is truly a beautiful lady and is always dressed appropriately for her shows. No obvious fake tan, or flesh tone artificial nails, and I think that’s her real hair too.
So Carolyn Gracie is taking two months off. She says:

I don’t think Carolyn is having weight loss surgery. I had weight loss surgery done and the recovery time is short. I was off from work for only two weeks. Also at the time I had my surgery you had to be at least 100 lbs. overweight and she is not that big. By being off for 2 months to recoup and being in her 50’s, I’d say she is having a hysterectomy. I had to have that surgery too and I was off from work for 2 months.
That wouldn’t make sense because there’s nothing wrong with her. I could see it as a last resort for cancer, but no one in their right mind would have a healthy organ removed on a whim.
What kinds of surgery to healthy people have? Cosmetic surgery. There’s nothing wrong with her face, she looks great. Maybe she just wants the extra time (and there are about 4 different types of weight loss surgery so she might be having something different to what you had) to get the weight off. I wouldn’t think lipo would have that long a recovery. Boob reduction?
You can need to have a hysterectomy without seeming “sick”. You must be male :). You can have bleeding, etc. that would still allow you to work. Or have endometriosis or benign tumors on the ovary or whatever. You wouldn’t seem “sick” to most people and you could still work but would benefit from a hysterectomy. Hyster. is my guess for her surgery. She doesn’t need the lap band or whatever.
You could be right, but I hope not. I really like Carolyn and she seems like a good person. Anyone who loved animals like she does is okay in my book. I really don’t want to think of Carolyn in pain, so I hope it’s just a few nips and tucks.
She specifically said there is nothing wrong with her. If she was sick even if it didn’t show, she wouldn’t have gone out of her way to lie. (At least she doesn’t seem like a big ol’ liar to me.)
On edit, no I’m not male. I have a softball size, symptomatic fibroid right now actually. I still wouldn’t have my uterus cut out because of that. That would be stupid. Undergo major surgery just to avoid bleeding sometimes? Uh uh. No way. I think Carolyn is smarter than that. (Plus I don’t think she’s a liar.)
It is possible that Carolyn just doesn’t want to be deluged with FB posts asking her what’s wrong, and speculating about ridiculous health ailments. I could see her saying she’s fine, in order to avoid that.
