I had the RNY gastric bypass which takes the longest recovery time and like I said I was back at work in two weeks. I could have even gone back sooner but I needed a break from work so I took two weeks off. As for the hysterectomy, I was not “sick.” I’d already had to have a double mastectomy with reconstruction due to having cancer in both breasts. I tested positive for the BRCA gene so my hysterectomy was done as a preventative measure.

I was banned from posting on the other site a long time ago. I said something about LR and someone got pissed and reported me. It’s happened to me once before and I registered under a new name and started posting again. But I haven’t bothered to register again. Too much aggravation only to get banned again. I still go there to read the posts.
I think I posted once or twice years ago when Nurse Recruiter stirred up a lot of shit, but I got ragged on so haven’t posted since. I do look at the site daily though.
You aren’t missing anything. It’s boring, like plain oatmeal. Any time someone says something remotely interesting, it gets deleted, because we can’t have that, can we?
I like checking out the other site, Shawn seems to be getting a fair amount of snark. I’m still perplexed with Lisa and how she could leave QVC. Now dipshit-Killinger has all her plumb time spots- she’ll probably be in Itay with jewelry before too long.

Who is she fucking to get those shows? Honestly she has NO style, NO poise and that thtupid lithp makes me insane. I don’t even watch PM Style anymore. They should change the name to PM OUT of Style with Thawn hosting it. And she is as dumb as a post! GAG.
If that were the case, though, she could just say she’s taking an extended vacation and traveling the world. It wouldn’t make sense to talk about this surgery that isn’t for her health, but IS for her mental health unless she’s on the level about that.
I can’t see her going for a face lift at all, she just looks too good (IMO anyway.) Maybe bariatric surgery and having time to both take off a lot of the weight and get and recover from the surgery to remove all the loose skin.
Antonella has mentioned she’ll be in Padua(?) later this month. She recently posted pics on FB, and showed vid on air, regarding her ‘working vacation’ in Italy in prep for the shows.
Around the time I started watching the Q, Leah had just returned from being off air for a while for ‘medical’ reasons. Didn’t know her before but some commented on how much more slender she appeared. If recollection serves, she’s about twice as large, now, as she was back then.
Then she has people who will want FB updates of everywhere she is, and photos from every stop on her journey. In any case, we’ll know when she gets back. She’ll either be 50 pounds lighter (Bariatric), or look 20 years younger (facelift), or no change at all (possible health problem). 
I have to vent a little and just say I don’t understand what Q is thinking setting up Shawnie Sue as the face of their network. I just can’t connect with her at all anymore. She annoys me pretty much 100% of the time she’s on, and they keep giving her more and more and more shows and on-air time. Her gratuitous use of her friends’ and family’s illnesses as a sales technique, her constant reiteration that she does’t like anything she is presenting, her ‘playing dumb’ with Mizrahi, and her shameless sucking up to anyone on the channel who could be perceived to be a celebrity just grinds my gears.
I know she must be selling like a house on fire because the Q is promoting her hard. But I have to wonder (hope?) whether her declasse approach isn’t going to bring the channel’s image down eventually. I can still remember how people blasted the Ho back in the day when Q was classy and the Ho was not. The tables seem to be turning now and it will be interesting to see who winds up on top. HSN is doing their best Avis/#2/we try harder while at the Q, Shawnie Sue is shaving her feet while Rome burns.
I need to follow her on FB. She seems more real that a lot of them. I look forward to seeing her in Italy!
I can’t agree more. She just makes me crazy. How is she on these shows?!? I buy a LOT less from Q now (so I guess I should thank them for saving me money!) I can’t stand her stupid speech impediment, her lack of brains, her horrible grey-streaked hair (WTF was she thinking with that?!), and her all around dumb-assery. :mad:
Of all the hosts they have, why don’t they do more with Gabrielle Kerr, Nancy Hornback, Sandra Bennett or Jennifer Coffey? They aren’t annoying and they don’t sound as dumb as a box of rocks like Thawn or Courtney Vacuous Cason. They aren’t smarmy like Jane Treacy (who makes me stabby). They have this good talent and don’t use them.
It has to be all about the sales numbers. Otherwise it makes zero sense. For whatever reason, Mrs. Middle America buys from Shawn. A lot. They defend her in the same way they used to defend LR - fiercely, as though she were their favored daughter.
I remember hoping they would slide Sandra into more of LR’s slots. There is a certain similarity between those two women that would have made it feel quite natural. But she must not have the numbers. I know longevity is key in the Q-verse. Viewers don’t easily take to new people, it seems to take years before they like a new host much.
I’m holding out a small hope that if Lisa Mason is re-embraced well by the buying public, they may slide some of the slots to her. But with her own illness and her husband’s, she may not want to devote that kind of time to the network. Too bad. She’s the ultimate professional.
I think, on some level, it comes down to train-wreck mentality (on the part of the viewer). I’ve never been someone who felt compelled to gawk at the crunched car on the side of the road. Yes, I’m curious because it’s impeding my ability to get to where I’m going, but I make a concerted effort NOT to look. Same with Shawn. Sandra is good…although I find her a bit cloying, at moments, milquetoast, at others…but she doesn’t bring the baggage. Appears to be happily married, couple kids (one adopted)…and the rest of her life stays under the radar. There’s not the drama that makes her ‘must see’ TV for those who have some strange need to ‘nurture and embrace’ via their TV viewing.
I don’t mind Mrs. Bennett, but I cannot stand Nancy, and I detest Jennifer. Jennifer is such a phony, and she has that fake laugh. And Courtney is just stupid.
I haven’t noticed a lisp from Shawn. The only speech impediment I notice is Jacqui Stafford’s. It drives me nuts to listen to her talk.
My favorite host is Jacque Gonzales. I also like Carolyn, and I don’t mind Pat.
