Short Documentary - Carpet Drugged

Carpet Drugged is a short, 17 minute documentary that I stumbled upon while reading an article. It is about the epidemic of opiate addiction in Afghan villages, specifically among the very poor who weave rugs for a living. It is not only the adults who are addicted to the opium, but the children as well. The children are hopelessly addicted and have hollow, haunting looks on their faces and are oftentimes scratching themselves due to the side effects of the opium. This documentary really disturbed and moved me; I was hoping to share it with The Dope and see what you guys thought of this. I consider myself globally aware as any person living in Western Society can be and spend quite a bit of time taking in foreign news, but I had never heard of children being given opium on a scale this large.
