Well? What do you think at this point?
If you think he should say “yes” and what party you affiliated with and if “no”(he shouln’t concede) do the same.
Post away campers.

No.
Since the certified results of the Florida election fall well within the margin of statistical error, I’m gonna have to say no.
Face it, y’all. This election’s a dead heat. It’s a tie. It’s a wash. And whatever we do now, we sure as hell better have provision for a runoff election in the future–you know, like most of the world’s democracies?
Oh, and I have no party affiliation.
No, he shouldn’t. If either candidate gave up under these circumstances, I would question just how badly he wanted the Presidency in the first place.
That being said, I would hope there is a resolution before Congress has to step in and decide. At that point, a graceful concession may be in the best interest of the country.
No.
Nope. The election thus far has far too many odd aspects to let it pass just because Dubya feels entitled.
Hey the people posting so far besides Gadarene are ya’ll Palm Beach County? The criteria was to put you party affiliation too. So I guess ya’ll opinions won’t count on this.
Yes
It may be a tie statistically, but two counts later…he still has not won Florida.
No, I have no party affiliations.
I think way less of Bush for claiming victory until the election is decided.
Nope,he’s already established himself as a whiner.Might as well go all out,it’s his only option to EVER be elected.I think he has shown his true colors and blown any shot he had at the 2004 election.
And neither has Bush. Of course, you agree that it’s a tie statistically, so you already know that, right?
No. These are not people who give up easily, and I would expect him to keep trying as long as hope remained. He may want to give up for strategic reasons (helping the dems in 2002, etc); he should not be expected to give in for any other reason.
That said, I don’t blame bush for proclaiming himself president early, either. If he does win, he gets to start coalition building earlier. If he doesn’t, he looks stupid. Really stupid…
I’m a fairly staunch republican.
But you have to draw the line somewhere. If Gore comes about and wins by 500 votes, then it’s still a tie. So whoever wins the votes after the recount deadline should be declared winner. And a runoff election? I’m not too sure that is the solution either.
P.s. I’m a conservative Independent
Course he shouldn’t. I don’t think irregularities and disenfranchisement should be swept under the rug because the public is tired of hearing about the conflict.
For the record, if the GOP could have actually substantiated claims of election irregularity, I would have been all for recounts in other close states.
I am a registered democrat.
What difference does my party affiliation make? My criteria for telling you is that you participate in your own poll, like most people would. I can guess from “Algore” what it is, but I want to know for sure.
Before I was disinterested in politics. After this fiasco, you can be damn sure I’m a yeller dawg Democrat.
Sorry. I’m a democrat in TN. And I still think that he should not give up.
I was interested in what others thought about what Cheney said yesterday during his press conference…about starting up their own 501©4 nonprofit and raising the money for their transition. But I digress…
Since I am the thread starter I am like the Supreme Court of Florida I can not only interpret the laws I can make’em.
But I’ll be fair and say yes I think he should concede and I am a conservative. I am sick of his whining.
I just think it is funny how he hates the rich but he drives around in a limo. If he really wanted to relate to the “poor” people, shouldn’t he drive around in a Yugo or take a metro bus.
I just think it’s funny how you don’t let facts get in the way of your wildly inaccurate characterizations.
Here’s the history lesson of the day: Democratic Leadership Council. Learn about it, won’t you?
Oh boy, I’ll make sure I put that on my top list of priorities today gadarene.
I vote that we once and for all do away with this ridiculous “Algore” nickname. What, are we all in third grade here?
And I’m not telling who I voted for. That’s why there’s a curtain on those booths.
