There are 73 million Boomers alive, and they vote. That is more people than voted for either trump or Biden in 2020. The Boomers are by no means done.

I hate to agree with Crowmanyclouds, but he is totally correct here.

But dont worry, CMC, I have grave doubts about ANY of his “facts”. So far, they have been 100% wrong.

Its down about the same amount the white vote is. Voters don’t want trump, but they are still thinking there may be some perfect white knight unicorn candidate out there. There aint, and the real choice is Biden or trump. Once the electorate realizes this, the polls will turn back to Biden. It is usual for an incumbent to have popularity issues halfway thru.

People are listening to the three BIG LIES of the GOP:
The economy is terrible! (it’s great actually)
“Crime is out of control!” (the crime rate is very low.
“Open Borders!!!” (false)

I know it’s not really useful arguing with split_p_j here, but this all bear repeating.

Joe Biden received 81,283,501 votes in 2020.

I don’t know if the boomers are done, but their political influence is probably already waning, and will continue to do so.

I think the worry is the young people who turned out big time in 2020 can’t be relied upon to do so in 2024.

Remember, Trump got the second most votes in history in 2020. His voters are more likely to show up at the polls.

MSNBC poll from 08/05/24. Harris support is 81% among Black Americans, up from Bidens low of 73%. But still nearly 10% down from the numbers of Bidens win in 2020.
