Should have brought a sandwich.

Well, it’s Saturday, and I’m sitting by myself in the office, trying to get everything done that I need to before I head to NY for Thanksgiving week. I’ve got some music playing, I’m wearing jeans, no one is around… I’m enjoying myself. Except…

I am so hungry! I skipped breakfast, and I don’t want to leave and come back (it’d take too much time), but I am starving! Damn I wish I had gone to pick up a sandwich on the way here like I had planned.

So what did you have for lunch?

Nothing, yet, but now that I know you’re online…

I had leftover spaghetti from last night. Spaghetti is always better the second day.

I’ve only had coffee today… plan to reheat some chili in a bit to munch but I’m not too hungry right now.

Deli turkey breast on whole wheat w/mayo. It was soooo good!

update…

A friend and I just finished off some leftover linguine with mushroom Alfredo sauce… mmmm.

I thought of Eonwe the whole time.

I guess we all had pathetic things. I had a tiny pancake and a few scrambled eggs, and then when I got home some soup.

Just a few more days before the really big meal…

I made a sandwich.

If I’d known you were hungry, Eonwe I would have made you one.

Speak up sooner, next time.

I stopped and picked up some CinnaBon at the mall. Want one?

I had the always delightful Ramen, soup style.
Ok, so it’s not great, but I was freezing and it was warm and that did the trick.

Maybe pizza for dinner…

Two bowls of Honey Comb. :o

[sub]I’ll probably finish off the box this afternoon.[/sub]

I hope I didn’t blow it. My doctor told me to avoid all spicy foods. But that was a couple of months ago, so it’s okay… right?

I couldn’t resist. I had to have some Indian food. I went down to the local take-out and got seekh kabab. With garlic naan and some of that green chutney. While it was cooking I went to the Indian market and got some skinny (Thai?) chilis. (I only bought a small handful, so they let me have them gratis! What nice guys!) Well, the beef was spiced of course. I’ve been avoiding spices, so I got some sweat under my eyes. I’ll wait on the chilis. (Actually, I plan to cut the seeds out and plant them; or give them to a friend to plant.)

I hope the Zantac I took this morning works throughout the day…

(FWIW, I did have two very large cups of dark Swedish coffee. The doc told me to cut out caffeine too, but I’ve never reduced my intake of my beloved “vitamin C”.)

Ah! That’s where I can use the chilis!

A jar of Mediterranean mixed olives - Kalamata, blonde, blacck and green. Makes a meal.

Leftover mac-n-cheese.

Thanks for all your kind offerings of food. I’m hopefully out of here within the hour, so I can make a bee line to some kind of dinner.

why don’t you order something to be delivered? Chinese, pizza, whatever.

I miss kozmo.com:frowning:

Alas, I would have to then deal with going downstairs and waiting for the pizza/whatever guy to let him/her in. It’s just too much bother to sit down there for 15 minutes when I should be here working (or posting!)… plus, then I’d have to make conversation with the sketchy security guard.

Well, considering that I slept until a little after 2:30 this afternoon, my lunch consisted of 2 bowls of Scooby Doo cinnamon cereal.
