I’m blaming my brainfart on the dog. Just sayin’, is all.
He really should issue a press release correcting himself. Surely he can’t be serious about hating EVRYTHING the Republicans stand for, let alone the inflamatory part about actually “hating” the Republicans.
That statement was made almost three weeks ago. It looks like it got trumpeted around FreeRepublic and TownHall.com for about a week, and then quietly vanished. If a man like Dean, who got more negative attention in 2004 from his political opponents than any other Democrat except Kerry himself, didn’t feel any political pressure from this statement when it was fresh, why on Earth should he bother to attract more attention to it by issuing a retraction now?
The thing is, why should conservatives care if Dean puts his foot in his mouth? One distinction between Dean and Lott which I don’t think has been mentioned is that Howard Dean is not an elected official. The Senate Majority Leader is a significant public servant. Howard Dean is just a political party chairman funded only by DNC donors, is he not?
Just as soon as Bush issues a press release about how we found the weapons of mass destruction.
Aw, I hope he didn’t hurt the Republicans feelings.
He’ll represent my interests just fine.
I can think of few things more evil than lying about WMDs to start a “pre-emptive” war.
Endorsing a candidate that does such an act would be one of them, IMO.
Yeah, you could be right. Sometimes it’s better to let sleeping dogs lie.
