Should I be concerned with this ebay seller??

Looking to buy a camera on ebay.

He has it listed with a lens, but then in the description, it says lens was damaged. So lens not included.

He has it listed on multiple ebay sites (countries) around the world. Should that be a concern for me, or is that sometimes customary in order for it to be seen by the most people

Has had it listed at least once before with no bids. Makes me a little leary, being that the price isn’t too bad.

I’ve asked 2 times for a recent photo taken with the camera, but he hasn’t sent one yet.
Should I stay away?

Yeah, give this one a pass. Even if the lens is fine, he’s not responding to your reasonable request for a better picture. If you buy the camera and you’re not happy with it, you’re unlikely to get a satisfactory resolution.

This is incorrect. If you pay with PayPal you can absolutely get your money back if a) you are unsatisfied with the actual item not meeting the ad description and b) the seller won’t refund your money on his own. BUT, if the camera does indeed match the description and you buy it anyway, buyer’s remorse it not a good reason to file a complaint with PayPal.

That said, eBay items generally appear across the eBay network, regardless of which country website the ad was originally posted on.

The seller has 100% positive feedback with 620 feedbacks–so his is trustworthy.

He is selling it without a lens–so how can you expect him to be able to provide a photo? The question is what is the cost of a lens and thus what will be the cost of a total system–and how does this compare with alternative sellers.

The fact that the lens was included in the title was an error–probably he used some kind of prefilled entry and forgot to edit the title. Ask him if this is not clear to you.

It didn’t sell because it is slightly overpriced (and way too high for a starting auction price). I generally avoid auctions where they giveth in the Title and taketh away in the description (lens, no wait, NO LENS), but you can beat $375 for the body only used.

He’s been on eBay since 1999 and had 100 percent positive feedback, although I don’t like that he hasn’t responded to your question, twice. I also tend not purchase from sellers who don’t offer returns, although that depends on the item. (A used book, sure. Electronics…not so sure. Especially if the seller isn’t responding to queries and tire-kickers.

However the auction is almost up and there have been zero bids with, at this time, about 90 minutes to go. So maybe it isn’t such a good deal after all?

I’m late to the party to help the OP (not that I would have been much help knowing absolutely nothing about cameras), but the item sold. 2 bids even.
