Should I sue MCI? How does one do small claims against a large corp?

My situation is that MCI forgot to tell my old long distance company that I had switched to MCI, and I continued to be billed.

I’m embarrased to add that I ignored the billing to my credit card for months. :frowning:

Anyways, I was wondering if it is worth it to bring a small claims against MCI for the $500 this error cost me… in light of the fact that it’s partially my procrastination in not investigating the bill, and it’s a fairly small amount for a court case.

I would also like to know if others here have brought small claims against MCI or another large company. I’m self-employed, so I know my way around small claims court :frowning: but I’m curious on how well others have done in micro-cases like this.

Well, first you should politely write to them asking them to refund the overpayment. If that fails then by all means sue - they’ll almost certainly settle.
