They got incredibly lucky with the insane third season Lynch and Frost threw together. It was overly long, obviously unedited down, but it contained some of the most brilliant TV you’ll ever see. And I kind of feel like it ended.
I would ask David Lynch and Mark Frost to just go ahead and leave it where it is at.
If I remember correctly:
- Cooper got out of the lodge and actually regained control of his body.
- They killed evil Cooper(Bob???)
- They undid the murder of Laura Palmer, creating a split in the universe or something that changed just about everything.
- Laura screamed and we had an amazing final moment.
I’d leave it there.
Too many cast members have died. We really got lucky it was made when it was.
