If my brother-in-law hadn’t mentioned it over Thanksgiving, I wouldn’t have known about it at all, so I figured a number of Dopers probably didn’t know, either. Entertainment Weekly gave it a good grade, so we’ll see.
Didn’t like it. Don’t regret watching it, but will not make rewatching it a priority. Donkey got on my nerves as much as he did on Shrek’s, there were too many characters for a half hour show (with what felt like excessive commercials), and while I’m not entirely sure that I want the Christmas Story as told in Luke (or Matthew) mauled on television, it pissed me off that the “Christmas Story” was “The Night Before Christmas”.
I agree with Eureka. It was okay for fluff but nothing special. The part I laughed out loud at and enjoyed the most was when
Puss and Boots was talking about the Santa cat and his eyes fix on the little dangley thing on the hat, the pupils widen and he is mesmerized and starts batting at it. Such a typical cat thing, and adorable, too. All the more hilarious to me because I was recently at Michael’s with my boyfriend and I saw a garland that was made out of little puffy balls like on the hat strung together and I started batting at it like a cat. I guess I hang out with my cats too much.
eh, I half watched it while working on the computer last night. It was ok, and my 3 year old liked it, so that’s really what matters. I did like the scene with the gingerbread man and santa.
