Ah, Petcetera. Their flagship store opened when I was young and I went there to get a fish for my 8th grade ecology project. Stupid fish died and I got marks taken off even though the system was set up properly. They disappeared a while ago to be replaced by other just-as-shitty pet stores that sell live animals. Then, I saw another Petcetera sign pop up across the complex of where they used to be. Why won’t this place just die?!
I think the even more depressing Pet Habitat is gone now, at least. I remember vividly one girl stamping her feet and pouting while throwing a tantrum about how she wanted that adorable little puppy… and her boyfriend was trying to gently lead her away.
Pet stores should sell only supplies, nothing more.
