Sigh...well, this isn't going as planned, cheez pleez?

More than one thing actually.

I’ve been trying to stay away from this place for a while, because reasons. Yet, here I am.

I think my job is at risk(and I’m not the only one in this boat) because office politics (grrrr:mad:)

Legal shit with the ex…dammit…fantasies of winning the lottery and giving the world a big ol’ metaphorical double finger are strong right now.

What kind of cheez goes good with whine?

Yeah, it freaking sucks. In a lot of ways. For a lot of people. I know it’s probably cold comfort, but these are miserable times for many folks.

I hear ya. Excellent chance I’ll be out of a job in a few weeks, and I have lottery tickets for this weekend.

My employer cut everyone’s salaries by 7.5% or more a few weeks ago, telling us this was to avoid layoffs. The layoffs started yesterday. The company is still making money, but they said they have to make the shareholders happy.

I know, and usually this sorta stuff doesn’t get to me this bad. Just today, I dunno, just piled up all at once somehow

Oh, Dork, I’m so sorry.
Pull in. Gird your loins. Steel your heart.
This too will pass.

You have friends here.

Ah Saucy, you wench! Thanks for the much needed snortle.

You’re welcome! Hang in there.

Frustration abounds…

I have an “essential job” so still working 40 hour weeks and they are staggering the schedule so sometimes I work Saturdays.

My kids, my sister-in-law, my neighbor, shoot-maybe even the neighbor’s dog is collecting unemployment and are making more than me sitting at home with the $500 or $600+ dollars a week they are getting. And they ALL (maybe not the neighbor’s dog) only have part time jobs. My neighbor and sister-in-law both say they dread going back to work due to the loss of the extra income.

$600 ends about six weeks. Then what will your neighbors do?

They all “should” be back to work by the end of the month. Not that certain people I know would try gaming the system and not go back to work when they can and continue to collect unemployment.
