I have the box checked in my User CP to use signature. “Show your signature” is checked when I post. Yet my signature still doesn’t show up. What gives?

Of course it shows the one time I post a question about it. :rolleyes: Is there any way to keep the “Show your signature” box checked?

No, it’s off by default and there’s no way to change it to default to on. I believe the primary reason for this is the Board’s policy on sigs, which states that you should not use your sig more than once per thread, if possible. There’s more info in the FAQ.
No. For a while, the box was ticked by default. Now it’s not. The done thing here seems to be to show it once per thread.
Previous posters are correct; it’s off by default.
Next time I have a day off, I’ll see if I can come up with a way that those of you that want default sig on can have that. Meant to do this earlier and other stuff got in the way. Check back with me in about a week, please.

Another VB board I’m on is set that sigs will only show up once per thread anyway (or maybe it’s once per page)… Is it possible to impliment that here, or is that a hack the other board put in place?
We have been asked to only post our sigs once in a thread. The default was changed IIRC to keep folks from posting their sig multiple times or everytime they post a message.
If you are having problems getting it to post even once, I had the same thing happen to me. I found out that it won’t attach unless you use the submit button that is beneath the boxes where you check add my signature. There is one submit directly below the text box. If you use this submit button your sig will not be attached.
Also, if you preview, it rests to “OFF”, so you have to select the box again befoer clicking “Submit”.
t-keela, can you reproduce that? I just tried it and it works fine. I even checked the submit button under a previewed post which also worked. I’m trying it in this post, too.
Can I get my sig to attach? Since this is ATMB and I suppose this could be considered a test here goes.
Okay, now what? I never doubted that I could use my sig twice. Only that we’ve been asked not too and the default was set so you had to add it “manually” each time.
