Silly census questions

I haven’t done my census form yet. I forgot about it, lost it, found it again, and procrastinated until yesterday.

Am I too late? Some people have implied that April 1 is the due date.

When they ask for earnings and capital gains information, do they want exact figures … I mean, the IRS does after all :sunglasses: ?

I’m sure they’d be delighted even if it was postmarked tomorrow.

Some of the questions ask about the status of the household as of 4/1/2000.

My wife had our daughter 9 days before that. If she’d gone over 4/1, our daughter shouldn’t’ve been counted.

Just mail it in they know the post office takes forever to get forms back to them so they must wait a long time.

Why is it that the Census people do care whether I am a Cuban Hispanic as opposed to a Puerto Rican Hispanic, and they do care whether I am a Laotian or a Vietnamese, but they don’t care whether I am Indian or Pakistani, and they [bdon’t care whether I am German or Swiss?
