Looks like another one bites the dust. I’m the poster formerly known as Scarlet>Fire. I went ahead and changed it last weekend. It was just too long, plus it was a bit too close to several other names…
Um…I can’t think of any (but I could be wrong).
I think Corvus and I are the only pair of posters that make up a whole animal. Which leads me to Corvus, corvidae and Corixidae (but I don’t tend to confuse them - shame on me if I did).
There’s an AnnaLucretia hanging about…she has less than a hundred posts. I wondered when I first noticed her if she wanted Lucretia, and picked the longer name as a second choice.

I felt sorta dumb when I changed my name from “Magickly” to “Magickly Delicious,” then saw that there’s somebody here who predates me by quite a bit and goes by “Lucki Chaarms.”
Tsunami is the person with the closest sounding name to mine. Its the Tsu combo which does it.

I do a double take on Wabbit, which is one of the nicks I used to use on IRC when I didn’t feel like being Wikkit. Same for any time anyone says anything about Ben, no matter which Ben it is.
I also always notice Kricket, mostly because I wish it was Krikkit. There’s also a Wonko (the Sane?) that always makes me smile, but isn’t similar in the strictest sense. I think there’s at least two Zaphod Beeblebrox descendants.
I also tend to confuse Scylla and Fenris, but that’s just because there was a thread claiming that they were the same person, which I beleived for whatever reason.
Other than UncleBeer, most of the mods seem to have fairly distinct nicks, which is a good thing. I kind of wonder what would happen if someone started posting as Arnold Winkelfried or manhatan or Lynn Bodini.
I’ve always thought that a funny UN would be CrankyAsCrankyAsAnOldMan. Although I doubt she’d find it funny. …or the mods.
