That’s what I use, then I just delete things as I’m done with them. But I use it mostly as an ongoing shopping list. Need this, need that, add them. After I go to the store, I delete the things I got and leave the rest for the next time.
There’s just a plain old memo pad on the iPhone, at least there was on the old 3Gs I had. Too bad if they did away with it on later models, but I used it all the time to jot down stuff to remember and grocery lists and stuff that might otherwise just go on a piece of scrap paper. Delete lines as needed. My current Samsung has a plain old memo pad, plus a “sticky” widget that’s on my home page for those “gotta remember today” things.
I’ve never quite been able to figure out the Reminders app. Even when you tick something off, it doesn’t seem to disappear. It just doesn’t really work how you expect it to.
umm…I’ve got a notepad app that works fine!
And it’s really easy to use too…so easy that I haven’t upgraded it for the past 30 years or so.
(And I’ll bet you already know what I’m talking about, too…)
It’s a pencil and paper.
And, believe it or not, the paper is bound together with a little spiral thingy that fits in my pocket like a , well…like a* notepad/*.
Life really doesnt always have to be so complicated.
(Now get off my lawn)
(yeah, mods,… I apologize for the snarky tone…but it’s after the 10th post in the thread )
Wunderlist does that. It does other things, too, but they are easily ignored. At its heart, it’s just a list where things go away when you cross them off.
It does, but it takes a while. Just leave it alone and it’ll migrate automatically. But it doesn’t get deleted, and your list grows longer and longer and longer. Once in a while I delete the whole list and start again.
Look, if you don’t want to be helpful and just be snarky, there’s a place called the Pit for that. When I post in GQ, I’m looking for helpful, knowledgable answers to my question, as the other posters in this thread are providing.
The fact that you have a system that works for you doesn’t invalidate the advantages of someone else’s system for that person.
I make use of both paper lists and electronic lists. Each one has it’s place and each has advantages/disadvantages.
Nope, it doesn’t. Once you click on the little box, it move the item from the Reminder list to the Completed list. Then you have to go through the items on the Completed list and tick them off again, to finally be rid of them.
Unless I’m doing it wrong, which is always a possibility. Is there a way to just tick once and the item is gone for good? If so, how?
