Simple Photoshop Question

I’ve been trying to find an answer to this question for about an hour now and can’t come up with anything so I turn to you all. I created a custom size document in Photoshop for a project I’m working on and I ran out of space on the page so I need to make it wider. Would I be able to do this? I’m running Adobe CS3 on a Mac if that makes any difference.

Image -> Canvas size ?

I’ve got CS2, but it should be at the top of your page “Image”, scroll down and “Image Size”. You could also create a new layer in the size you want. I’m sure someone will be along with a more specific answer.

Wow question answered, thanks a lot you guys.

Or you could go to your background layer and re-crop it to the correct size.

“Image Size” will also enlarge whatever work you already have on the page. “Canvas Size” will enlarge the document leaving your work the same size.

Except you got it wrong.

It’s Canvas size. Image size just changes the, err, image size.

You need to add width to the “canvas” size, not the “image” size.
