You know, it’s amazing what a couple of alert people can find in the engine compartment of a Cadillac.
In my case it was this.
Hardly standard equipment, but just what I was looking for as it turned out.

She looks like my Queenie did when she was a kitten. Glad you found her before you started the car!
Awwww. That’s so cute.
I’ve been kind of looking around for one of those myself.
My second cat, the Road Warrior, got his name from a car incident. A co-worker who lives on a farm drove in to work one morning, through thunder/rain/lightening, etc. When she got out of the car she heard a weak “Mew” and found one of their seven-week-old barn kittens under the car. It had probably crawled up there for a storm shelter, and hung on all the way into town. So I fell in love with it and adopted it, and just had to give it a name that was indicative of wild vehicle trips.
And your kitty is such a cuty! Those eyes are just so perfect! Have you picked a name yet?
How about Cadillac?
Caddy? How about, simply:
Lucky?
A friend on a mailing list got her kitten after seeing-get this!-the kitten being on the road while an 18-wheeler ran OVER her. The wheels didn’t touch her, the kitten was straight in the middle the entire time. Took kitty to the vets-not a scratch, just shaken up.
So, naturally they called her Lucky.
What were they doing in the engine compartment, anyway?
That looks just like my cat. What a sweetie (I like 'em more than I do humans)… uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…
omygodthebabykittyissocuuuuuttttttteeeeee!!!
Unfortunately, a warm car engine frequently attracts cats. They love warm, small spaces to nap in. My Mom drove her car all around town before finding out she had a stowaway just above the front wheel well.
As for my little one’s name, I’ve decided on Maeve. It’s Irish and is supposed to mean “intoxicating”. She sure is! Plus she’s a very bold sort, she already climbs me like a jungle gym. I have two other male cats but I know who will probably rule the roost.
She is absolutely adorable!!!

She is stunning! Like a fluffy-version of my skinny black Arabic kitten - same jewel-eyes shining out from the darkness.
Am sooooooo envious.
Mailed the link to everyone in the office too!
