The cover story only mentioned 24 minor characters out of a cast of hundreds. Which one of your favorites was not done?
I love Nelson Muntz. He’s a bully and a show-off, not accepted by his peers and hanging around with a dangerous older gang of Jimbo, Dolph, and Kearney. But several episodes have shown his terrible home life, with parents who have major problems and don’t care about him at all.
He also has the best catch phrase: HA–HA!
Well yeah. And I was kind of hoping they’ed explain Sideshow Mel.
But more importantly how could they neglect Troy Mcclure and Lionel Hutz?! Just because they’re never going to be on the show again? All the more reason to talk about them.
Lionel, we hardly knew ye.
Personally, I’m a huge fan of Superintendent Chalmers. Skinner!!!
BTW, I liked the stories in the article, which actually included some info I didn’t already know about some of the characters (though I wonder how many Simpsons fans will actually but all two dozen covers)

Where, ah, is Mayor “Diamond” Joe Quimby? He’s my absolute favorite. And by “favorite”, I of course mean “second only to Ralph ‘My cat’s breathe smells like cat food’ Wiggum”.
My friends will occassionally ask me to talk like Quimby. “Connor! Talk like Quimby!”, they’ll say. Actually, I don’t talk exactly like Quimby. I’ve modified him a little. I’ve created a Mayor Quimby - Ross Perot hybrid. The kids love it. They can’t get enough.
“Can I, ahh, finish? Can I finish? Ahh, can, ahh, I finish?”
I know these are really minor characters but I love good ol’ Gil and Duff Man - oh yeah!!
I always look forward to episodes with Disco Stu or that teenager whose voice cracks.
How about Carl and Lenny? Hans Moleman? Dr Nick Riviera? Snake?
Personally, I’m a big fan of Jasper.

My name is Otto, and I love to get blotto-ed. Actually Otto is one of the few characters that I care less for the more they develop his character.

Oh and Apu. Maybe they mentioned him in TV Guide, I don’t subscribe so I wouldn’t know, but he rocks, and so does Moe “but I’d look good on the inside, right?” Syzlak.
And, umm…let’s see…Sideshow Bob! He’s more than minor, I know, six episodes starring him…they should make another. Snake, yes, he rocks.
They included Professor Frink but not Snake? What’s the world coming to??

That would be Sideshow Bob I beleive, Sideshow Mel has the giant bone stuck in his hair(it can’t be pulled out either).
And where is the other Patty/Selma? (I know I should be able to but I can’t tell them apart) Everyone else I could think of is already here…Dr. Nick, Lenny and Carl, Gil (he always cracks me up)…most of my other favorites are there. (Why is Santa’s Little Helper there but not Snowball?) Oh yeah and umm…I think his name is Herman - the ammo shop guy.
They must not have wanted two cats on the covers - Itchy/Scratchy (I can’t tell either) is on one.
I think they just should have put all the pets on. Including Pinchy and Stampy. What was the horse’s name?

That would most definitely be Bob. Mel has the green hair with the bone stuck in it (by bubblegum, mentioned in the episode where Lisa gets gum in her hair, and the minor characters are walking by giving advice on how to get it out). Bob tried to kill Bart and Selma, nuke Springfield, etc.
