Simpsons 4/2/06

A Simpson’s movie!

Will July of 2007 be the moment that the Simpson’s jump the sharK? They’ve avoided it for so long.

It was professional but was minor league (Shelbyville had one too). The team they were getting was the equivalent of an NFL franchise (but, of course, not identified as the NFL).

Did anybody notice they finally mentioned Grandpa Simpson’s age? He’s 83.

I think that must have just been a girly thing – the end of the flashback episode that explained why there are no pictures of Maggie in the family album, though, (“Don’t forget: Your here forever”/ “Do it for her,”) that one would make even the Commissioner of Football bawl.

(“I’ve been crying. You can tell, can’t you?”)

I also cried at the one where Lisa is depressed and Marge finally says “If you want to be sad, Lisa, be sad, and when you’re done being sad, we’ll still be here”

Perfect! :frowning:

This isn’t the first time pro football has come knocking at Springfield’s door- when Homer seceded his section of Springfield from the other half due to a new area code, the Arizona Cardinals were interested in moving there. And although it seems he never had intentions to move them to Springfield, we can’t forget that Homer once briefly owned the Denver Broncos.

And he should’ve held on to them. They won a couple Super Bowls not longer after that.

Yeah, that episode is funny now, because they show the broncos as bumbling nobodies. They should dub in “New Orleans Saints” or something for future showings

Or the Detroit Lions. Or the New York Jets. Or the (aforementioned) Arizona Cardinals. Those franchises fit the category of perennial losers better than the Broncos ever did.

I don’t know why I found that so funny, but it really made me laugh. I’m still giggling thinking about it.
