Cool Cher! I lived there the last year before they did the renovations… Man, that place was so old that you could see through the cracks in the walls into the room next door! Then, we came back and visited after they redid it - I was seriously jealous.
Speaking of Conan O’Brien, after Hollis I lived in Mather, myself. Where did you end up?

I was exiled to Radcliffe Quad. Actually, it was pretty nice and very good exercise. I lived at what was then called North House. One of the dorms there was a converted apartment building and the Masters turned a kindly blind eye to the fact that my boyfriend (now husband)and I had traded with another couple so that we could live together. We had our own kitchen and bathroom. It was pretty cool, even if not quite so historic.
Hubby and I met in Hollis the first week, but we didn’t become and item until…oh, October or so. This was in 1979, by the way. The Square has certainly changed a lot since then!
The absolute funniest thing I’ve ever seen on the show is when the camera is panning through the Earth (it might’ve been the Australia episode), and it shows the Indian Goddess in the center pulling all the switches. Just the thought of it is enough to set me off.
