my favorite was when “Old Gill” got himself a job as a Christmas Santa in a department store. when he left for a break, he put up a sign that said “Santa’s making presents” with a picture of him sitting on a toilet

I was a bit confused by the OP until I noticed this was a zombie from before they started REALLY running with them - to the point that they’ll point them out while doing them.
In the DVD commentary for the Futurama episode where Fry/Bender/Leela join the army, the speakers joke about the amount of work they put into all the posters and billboards that “no one” even gets a chance to read since they’re in panning shots and on screen for less than a second. I suppose the sort of viewer who hangs out on fan sites would get them these days but the more casual viewer never would.
Gil was a department store Santa in “Kill Gil, Volumes 1 & 2” (which is a single 30-minute episode, despite the title), which was in Season 18. Unfortunately, it’s considered a Christmas episode, so unless FXX decides to include it as part of a Gil marathon someday, it probably won’t air again until next December - which, coincidentally, is when Season 18 should be released on DVD and Blu-Ray (although the widescreen episodes don’t start until the second half of Season 20).

I put the episode title into Bing and did a video search. The video is available online. The picture in discussion is at the 6:03 mark of the source I checked - it’s a picture of Santa, not Gil in a Santa suit, on the toilet. The rest is as advertised. 
I always liked the sight gag when Bart was the young Mozart. The Vienna Opera House had two doorways - one labeled “Fops,” and the other, “Dandies.”
I just had one of those moments where I open a thread thinking it will be fun reading, get to the first response and go WTF???
