Since we're all in a comic book mood: Who's your favorite comic character?

Deadpool. Deadpool by far.

Segar’s comic strip Popeye, not to be confused with the cartoons. Just got the final volume, #6, of the recent reprints. Really makes today’s strips look bad.

Spider-Man, no question.
So much, that my all-time favorite movie is Spider-Man 2.
So much, that as an aspiring comic book artist in the early 80’s who created characters based on people I knew in real life I based MY OWN super-hero on Spider-Man!

Judge Dredd.

Though I’d like to see either a Halo Jones or a Rogue Trooper movie. They’re also from UK comic 2000AD, in case you were wondering.

Digger.
Strong, smart, doesn’t take crap from anybody.

Mainly an X-Men guy.

So, short list of favorite characters probably include Magneto, Cyclops, Cable, and Deadpool (though only under certain writers).

Starman (Jack Knight).

Sgt. Rock of Easy Company

Lt. Jeb Stuart of the Haunted Tank (when he still commanded an M-3 Stuart)

Hans von Hammer, aka “Enemy Ace”

Sarge, Gunner, and Pooch, USMC

Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos

Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge (Carl Barks era)

Mickey Mouse and Goofy (1950s–early '60s)

Little Lulu

Dennis the Menace

Popeye

Sad Sack

Gabby Gob

Herbie Popnecker

Golden Age Batman and Superman

Spider Jerusalem, with Death (of the Endless) a close second.

Ony 2 that would be on my must have list are Judge Dredd and Spider-man been reading them for over 35 years

Came in here to post just that.

Mega City One, and the rest of the world that he lived in, was such a chaotic place. It could be goofy, it could be cruel, it could be heartbreaking, it could be mind-boggling. No matter what it was like, Dredd was in the midst of it all, doing what he always did: UPHOLDING THE LAW. This made him such a perfect foil.

For a guy with no character, he sure had a lot of character.

Enid Coleslaw. ETA: Closely followed by Hammerstein from ABC Warriors.

I remember having a thing for Shado (Japanese tattooed archer lady) from Green Arrow at one point.

Would love to see a Rogue Trooper movie… or a Ro-Busters Movie

This is pretty much my answer. I can’t quite pin down why I’m a fan, but he’s definitely my top pick. (It doesn’t hurt that I also really like most of his supporting cast.)

Superman and Batman are also high on my list, especially when they appear together. The two make great foils fo one another and, despite highlighting very different aspects of what being a hero is about, are both excellent and entertaining characters.

Ambush Bug and the Phantom Stranger. I like people who can break the fourth wall.

For major superhero comics, probably Daredevil, though I mainly liked Marvel ensemble comics, like X-men or the Avengers.

Also

The Badger
Maggie and Hopey from Love and Rockets, at least the early issues.

My favorite is probably Reid Fleming, World’s Toughest Milkman. “I was under the impression fish liked milk.”

Sam and Max
Ambush Bug
Cerebus up to the point he comes back from the moon and Dave Sim goes slowly off the rails.

How about Sugar and Spike?

Oh Lit-tile Lu-lu I love you…
