Sixties song lyrics I can't identify

I’ve found some of these, that were played on LA rock station KLSX-FM, 97.1, when I was listening to, and recording from, the Dr. Demento Show. I picked up quite a bit of non-Dr. D stuff:

  1. There she goes with her nose in the air…
  2. He’s oh, so good
    And he’s oh, so fine
    And he’s oh so healthy
In his body and his mind
    He’s a well-respected man-about-town…
  3. Lazin’ on a sunny afternoon…
I had some which were apparently Beatles songs, but a Beatle lyric website doesn’t include them.
    Any help, please?

It’s the Kinks, I think - Dedicated Follower of Fashion?

Sorry, I’m talking about #2.

  1. & 3. are both by the Kinks. “A Well-Respected Man” and I don’t know the other title, maybe just “Lazin’ on a Sunny Afternoon”.

Where are the other 57?

Oh, you’re funny, Panamajack… :stuck_out_tongue:

To confirm…

  1. The Kinks. A Well Respected Man
  2. The Kinks, Sunny Afternoon

Thanx

#1: Funny How Love Can Be. There are at least two versions that I know of, the slower one is sung by Ivy League.

Oh, and I know just about every Beatle song ever written/sung. Give me the lyrics and I could probably tell you.

Okay then, benson, what are the lyrics to “Christmas time is here again”?

Is that from one of those albums done for the fan club?

Crusoe, now I know why I like you. BTW, I’m so aged, I actually saw the Kinks in concert. I mean, the actual Kinks, not the Ray Davies solo thingee.

Fear me.

I really like the Kinks. I went through that pretentious pseudo-Mod-revival at university (I used to change my musical tastes every year) and still really like most of the Kinks, Small Faces and Yardbirds songs I listened to.

In this day and age how can anyone not be able to find it?

Now that would be an annoying song to have stuck in the tape deck.

When I was 16 my sister was 14 and I was forced to hear MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice over and over again. Maybe that’s why I went to a HS 90 minutes away. The peace and quiet of the bus ride home was so relaxing.

Here’s a question for you, Benson- did Syd Barrett have anything to do with The Beatles It’s a Shame, Mary Jane?

I saw them too. Best show I ever went to.

Mojo, I’m assuming you mean What’s The New, Mary Jane. Easiest answer: Nope.

Fairblue, I won’t even dignify that with an answer.

I heard a song on pop radio in summer 1968 I never identified. All I remember is part of the refrain:
La la, la la, la la, la [short unintelligible phrase here; about six syllables. And in “La la” the second “la” is higher-pitched and stressed]
La la, la la, [unintelligible part; six syllables]
(Don’t you know that)
Ev-rybody’s got to love somebody sometime…
(Note: This is not a Dean Martin song!)

No, but Brian Jones plays the sax on “You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)”. Could you have possibly confused the titles and legends?

How about The Delfonics, La - La - Means I Love You, #4 in 1968?
