I’ve been a fan for many a year now and am still completely surprised that they came back to make another album. What with the bad blood that has always existed between the surviving band members and all, I was surprised enough when they played a show in 2000 and even more surprised when they had a song on the “Underworld” soundtrack.
Now a new album and possibly a tour! I’m all over a new show if they come anywhere near. I’ve heard the album already some of it is really cool (L’Immortal), some of it may need to grow (Past Present). Doesn’t really sound like the Puppy we all know (kinda sounds like “The Process”), but still cool.
Whoa, its been a few years since I’ve listened to any Skinny Puppy, but at one point I was a huge fan and had almost all their albums. Thanks for the info though, I didn’t even hear about the new album or the Underworld track.
I’ve been squeaking by with Download, Autechre, New Deal and whatnot, guess I don’t really miss SP all that much
But Al is old and sad - he doesn’t need any help in that department.
Hearing that there is new Skinny Puppy is interesting. Hearing that it sounds like The Process is not, however. Bleah! That said, the Doomsday festival performance a couple years ago was pretty good. If that can translate into the new material I’d be happy, but, man, why’d you have to say it sounds like The Process? That would just suck…
