For those keeping score, my pork loin yielded 4 roasts large enough to feed 2 of us with leftovers, plus 12 chops. All are sealed and crammed in the freezer where I could find space. Yay!
I think I’ll bake a pineapple upside down cake now. Yum!

Don’t forget to borrow swampy’s pearls for your domesticity.
But on facebook, you said you were going to smoke some meat. So, which is true? :dubious:
That is an urban legend.
No material know to man can cut stale matzoh balls. They are, however, widely recycled as lobster trap weights.
Uh-oh, now you did it! You’re one of the select few in both groups. Remember, the first rule of Fight Club…
Any [del]good[/del] decent (fresh) matzoh ball should be able to do this. I suppose you like cheesecake made with ricotta, too? :dubious:
I’m not going to smoke meat today - it’s way too late and most of the meat is way too frozen. I’m thinking maybe the weekend.
Meanwhile, the cake is in the oven, and I managed it without pearls! I use crushed pineapple rather than rings, so we’ll get 15 nice servings, each with a cherry on top!
Catch many lobsters in Ar-Kansas?
Just really large crayfish.
I suppose they’re kosher, too, since you’re using matzo balls for weight. :dubious:
Last time I checked, they did not have scales, so sadly, they are treif.
Far as I know, shellfish are not kosher.
That was sarcasm, as indicated by the attached smilies. Try this one -> :smack:
:p:D
And here I thought you were just laughing at me.
You have the distinct honor of getting me started, but I have enough laughter for everyone.
Mom! MOM!
I’m pretty sure that Mooommmm would laugh at you too.
Another day of not doing’ all that much- did some fud shopping, but decided to make bread rather than buy it. It’s not bad, better than the last few attempts. I think I underkneaded a little maybe, but it’s definitely bread not lobster pot weight.
It’s too wet and cold to do much, especially as I don’t have much money spare, and don’t have any irk.
I don’t laugh at you, flytrap. I shake my head and snort derisively.
**rosie **is channeling Sheldon!!!
Supper was OK - salmon, crescent rolls, 'mater salad. Pineapple upside down cake later.
For what was supposed to be a lazy day, I got a lot done. Go me!
Howdy Y’all! Another irk day survived. Always a good thing. I made cabbage ‘n onions with kielbasas and steamed baby carrots for dindin. Tasty and easy, just like how I like my men. OYKW has a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for turtle track ice cream, so he’s gone to the sto’ to get some. I steered him in the direction of the Pubic sto’ cause they always have turtle track ice cream.
That’s pretty much the news from south Jawja.
