My interpretation of this song is that it’s about a guy who arrives home to discover that his wife/girlfriend has been fooling around with another man. The indiscretion is recent because there are traces of what has occurred. He’s angry with her and, rather disturbingly, he wants her to tell him everything she did so that later he can reprise these activities himself.

He calls her a roller skater. I’m assuming this is a term of disparagement aimed at the woman’s sexual proclivities but I’ve never heard of the expression before and can’t confirm my assumption through the usual channels. Any help will be appreciated.

I know the song, and the phrase. I assumed it meant that she (a) zipped around too quickly for him to know her better, and (b) she rode on the surface, never showing him anything below the superficial level of herself.

That’s my take. That, and the guy isn’t much of a catch, either.
