I think the Omen series had some interesting deaths.
Didn’t one person get bisected in an elevator? IIRC, another got beheaded by a glass pane.
Scream had one of the best opening murder scenes of all time. It was pretty shocking for a movie to kill off a star like Drew Barrymore in the first 15 minutes. And I love Barrymore’s mounting terror as a seemingly innocent prank call turns batshit terrifying.
Or the nanny hanging herself in front of Damiens birthday party. Great death.

Just thought of another one… the sisters “suicide” in Mirrors with Kiefer Sutherland. The whole scene of her doppleganger pulling at her jaw in the mirror and the girl herself actually pulling her jaw apart in the bath dub… horrific scene.
I tend to forget slasher flicks almost immediately, but the one scene that stuck in my head was the tree scene in “The hills have eyes”. That’s one I wish I could unsee.
The Wishmaster series had some good ones. Lots of good corrupted genie wishes such as the girl who wanted to be beautiful forever so he turned her into a (conscious but unable to move) mannequin.
