Slasher Kills

We’ve all seen slasher movies of some sort over the course of our lives. Between Jason, Freddy, Micheal Myers etc, we have witnessed countless onscreen kills.

My question is what are some of the most memorable ones? It can be super creative or just outright outlandish. Doesn’t have to be slasher per se, can also be horror movie in general.

So go on, lets discuss.

I like a simple, good old-fashioned claw hammer to the head, a la Friday the 13th Pt 2, I believe it was.

.

One I remember.

So beautiful in its simplicity. Friday 13th (no idea which one) two people are sexing in a sleeping bag. Jason walks up grabs the sleeping bag and bashes them against a tree. No muss, no fuss.

Maybe someone will remember what movie this was from. Two teens are having sex on a bed, and the killer is under the bed. He uses some type of huge drill bit to drill up through the bed, impaling them both at the same time. It sounds like something Jason did, but I’m not sure.

Slumber Party Massacre 2 is close, but only takes out one person.

Alternatively, Richard III, but not with a drill.

Jason did one similar in Friday the 13th part 2.

Stabbed victim through the neck from under the bed with an arrow. The victim? Kevin Bacon!!

There was a similar scene in the first Friday the 13th, which means it wasn’t Jason. Fuzzy memory is it only got one, but part of the killer’s joy (IMO) was others getting to watch their friends offed.

Student Bodies had victims dispatched with a paper clip, an eraser and a horsehead bookend. The best part of the movie was the running Body Count in the corner of the screen.

Im not sure this qualifies because Carrie wasnt really a slasher film but I loved the way she killed her Mom…no spoilers in case someone hasnt seen it.

He does something similar in Jason X (the one set in the future after Jason wakes up from hibernation aboard a spaceship). To delay his advance, a crew member uses their holodeck-equivalent to recreate Camp Crystal Lake 1980, along with two quickly-topless young women who giggle about having “pre-marital sex” and then climb into their sleeping bags. Since this is catnip to Jason, he picks up one of the sleeping bags and starts bashing it down on the other. He is successfully, if briefly, fooled until the chase is on again.

Scene here, until somebody complains to youtube.

I think it was Jason Takes Manhattan… he shoots a guy with a spear gun and pulls it out along with the guy’s…intestines? I don’t know. I remember them looking like gray tubes. As a kid that image stuck with me.

Not a slasher film per se, but I loved this scene from Terminator 2 where the T-1000 impersonates John Connor’s foster mom.

I found it, it was My Bloody Valentine. (1981)

That whole movie was just…wonderful.

There was this guy, Norman Bates…

Not the actual kill itself, but in the original Black Christmas, the first co-ed to gets done in is smothered when the mysterious “Billy” shoves a plastic bag over her head. He drags her up to the attic and props her in a rocking chair by the window - I think with some Christmas lights as well IIRC. The body is never discovered during the run of the film, and from time to time we get a shot of her up in the attic.

The final image of the film in the credits is of the girl’ body, eyes bulging, mouth open as if to scream, propped in the chair, by a window, …ew, that image always gave me the shivers.

That was the original Friday the 13th, and thus not Jason, but rather beloved character actress and game show panelist Betsy Palmer as Mrs. Vorhees.

I sometimes wonder if Kevin Bacon still includes Friday the 13th on his resume these days.

The scene in The Hitcher where Jennifer Jason Leigh has her hands bound to the bumper of one truck and her feet bound to another while the psychopath’s foot hovers over the gas pedal is particularly intense.

I have a very vague recollection of a movie where someone, a kid I think, gets put in a meat grinder, a la the Pink FLoyd video for Another Brick in the Wall. I was at the home of someone I didn’t know very well and we were really stoned and I was just overall uncomfortable, and then this movie was on and it seriously disturbed me for *days *afterward. Wish I knew what the film was so I could watch it in its entirety and see if it still has any effect on me.

The Last of The Mohicans is one of the best horror films I have seen, so I am going with Magua fighting Uncas.

Norman Bates in Psycho. Nothing has ever topped it.

IMO Hitchcock himself topped in in the very controversial rape/strangulation scene in Frenzy.
