But it looks like they’re going to actively try to recruit Katherine now too. You always need a witch in a Scooby gang. So it was written. So shall it be.
I’ve given up on the costume thing. We’re stuck with it for the season it looks like. Sigh.
And who knew that demons were really just evil Hummel figurines? How convenient.
Captain Irving said that Moloch was “the demon at the head of the org chart.” Yeah, he’s the boss of Headless. Now known to be Abraham–loosely related to Brom Bones, swain of Katrina in Washington Irving’s version…
I liked hearing & seeing the glass harmonica. Franklin is one Founding Father not mentioned so far–but his bust was the trigger that opened the secret room at the antique shop.
I;m going to assume they are following Ichy’s lead as Brits do pronounce is Hess-ee-an. However has none of these people had a history lesson in a town that had a battle take place within it?
I’ve just now discovered this series. The first episode was playing on the entertainment system during a flight I took recently. I would have had to pay to watch further episodes, so I didn’t. But I will – I think past episodes are available on demand on my local cable system. So I’ll catch up.
I liked it. I thought the writing was decent, and the acting was quite good. Also, I could happily marry Nicole Beharie (well, except that I’m already married, and she’s at least twenty years younger than me, and more than a foot shorter).
More thoughts to come after I get a chance to have a Sleepy Hollow film festival at home. Some night when I can’t sleep. . .
I’m of the opinion that the second they pull Katrina out of whatever pocket dimension she’s in, she’s headed straight to the mall, and will buy Icky a pair of jeans and tell him to stop being a historical re-enactment extra.
I felt so bad for Ichabod, and then I felt bad for everyone who’s missing family over the holidays. Then Abbie’s message made me feel better.
On the nitpick side, we saw the ent confine Lena right away. So did she get away, and the ent dragged her back? :dubious: And the bodyguard dead in the chair – the ent killed him and then sat him down? That part didn’t make sense.
Excellent episode though. I assume we’ll see Ichy’s son, eventually, or a descendant. Very cool.
Something else that bugged me – Irving’s wife bitching that he didn’t spend enough time with Macy, and then threatening to file for full custody, so he’d have even less time to spend with her. Kinda like suspending a kid for skipping school. Counter-productive.
If Irving’s wife wants him to be part of their daughter’s life, why didn’t they move to Sleepy Hollow too?
I had two Icky, Jr theories. One was that Junior was the Ent but that one was killed before the episode was over. The second is that he isn’t Icky, Jr but Morloch, Jr. and Katrina is a stinking slutty bad witch.
