I was all looking forward to bying a shiny new sony PSP with my shiny new wages and I find out they’ve pushed back the Euro launch 5 five FIVE! MONTHS.
Can you not order one from someplace like Amazon, or will they not ship to an overseas address until the UK release?
If that’s the case, I’d be happy to cut your wait in half. Simply mail the money to me, I’ll buy it locally, and send you the unit in two or three months (slightly used).
I can get them on e-bay. But I fear I might blow my house up or something when I plug a foreign device (with a travel converter thingy) into my feeble Manx plugs.
I feel your pain. We have one, but there are few things for us to do with it because they decided to launch mostly sports games first and have only released 2 movies. Attention corporate guys: when you launch a new system, launch a large variety of stuff to go with it so you sucker more of us out of our money at once.
I’ve seen more than two movies for sale for it at Best Buy. Off the top of my head, I know I’ve seen “Spiderman” (included with the unit) and I also remember seeing “Kill Bill vol. 1” and “Pirates of the Caribbean” along with maybe two or three others. Take a look around, you might find more. And I played the game “Lumines” on my sister’s recently and it’s a blast.
So you blame them for underestimating the success of the PSP, huh?
Dude, just order it online from lik-sang.com or playasia.com. I did that way back in December, had it five days after launch. 211 Euros is the current going rate, and with the express delivery that you have to take on these type of orders, you’d have it in your home in 2 days for about 240 euros or something.
And all these stupid comments on the mains plug? That’s silly. This one works all over the world, comes with a UK connection out of the box. Also, the Japanese region coding for DVDs is the same as Europe. Just go for it. I’ve got Ridge Racers and Lumines, and they are great games, the mp3 stuff works super as well as the movie/mp4 options.
Me… also. I say the more DSs there are in the world, the better.
Incidentally, it seems to me that ‘pants’ as a swearword is a British thing… I first encountered it at the website of a British game developer called Rare. It’s certainly a worthy negative interjection.
