so…my cat attacked a slow worm. cute little fellow. i’ve put it in a bowel with a few drops of water, and some grass.
anything else i can do?
bowel?
bowl! obviously!
If it’s in a bowel I’m afraid it’s doomed. Hyuk hyuk hyuk.
Seriously, how bad is it hurt? I’m not sure there’s anything you can do for it first-aid-wise, but if it’s mostly uninjured it will probably be fine.
ETA: Ah, ninja’d by the proofreading OP.
I would keep it moist and then set it free in the garden at night (so that birds are less likely to see it) and hope for the best…
To clarify for those who might not be familiar with the animal, I assume you are talking about the legless lizard rather than a sluggish annelid.
They eat slugs and worms, so you might put a few in with him.
legless lizard, yup.
it died! :o
however the cat caught another one, which Ipromptly rescued and took to a safe, cat-free zone.
Maybe putting a bell on your cat’s collar would give the local reptiles a chance to hear it coming and make their escape.
Yeah, I know the cat hates it.
