So there’s the “Smash White Supremacy Fun Run.” And they’re pissed off about the Zimmerman verdict.
And I’m not going to get into the verdict here; there are dozens of threads about that.
And these guys and gals want to run around Westwood. And I’m cool with that.
Let me say that again- if you want to all get together and go for a jog in hoodies for the purpose of airing your grievances, specifically as they relate to perceptions of race and dress in neighborhoods like Westwood, I support the shit out of that. It’s a legitimate protest method.
That said, one of the things they were protesting is
The myths surrounding PROVOCATEUR REGINALD DENNY?
You have got to be fucking kidding me (let’s not even get started on “the 1992 rebellion”).
This is in the Pit because the bullshit over-the-top race-baiting and characterization of the prior demonstrations as “peaceful” are going to inflame emotions.
This is in the Pit because, with a mission statement like that, you’re looking to get some people (who are not you) whipped into a frenzy and subsequently hurt so that you can then decry the shit-storm that you created.
But what I really want to know is this:
-
How anyone in their right mind can expect to be taken seriously when decrying the “provocateur Reginald Denny;” and
-
If 1 is actually a true statement, I’d love to hear the evidence.
[sub]Let’s set aside “Note: This event is consciously ableist, although all participation is welcomed,” which is something that no one not on a National Socialist Organizers Committee has ever said ever.[/sub]
