This is a poll. It’ll take me forever to put in all the choices, but they’re coming.
Let’s talk about how well you can (or can’t) snap your fingers.
Definition of handedness for the sake of this poll:
If you usually write with your right hand, pick one of the right handed choices
If you usually write with your left hand, pick one of the left handed choices
If you write with each hand at least 1/3rd of the time (which should be true of only a tiny % of people statically), you can either pick whichever hand you write with more often if it’s not 50-50 or ambidextrous as suits you.
Yes, we’re just going by which hand you write with here. I bowl and mouse right-handed but that doesn’t make me ambidextrous for poll purposes.
I’m right-handed and used to be able to snap with both hands equally (not all that well but enough to make a noise). But a few weeks ago I had surgery on my left thumb, which is still very stiff and weak, so I’m a right-handed snapper only for now at least.
I’m right handed but was fairly ambidextrous until I fell downstairs and snapped off the top of my left wristbone. Now I can’t snap my left hand fingers at all.
This had never occurred to me til this poll…but I am right handed and my snap is snappier from my left hand. I can still snap effectively with my right, but my left hand snap is SNAPPIER.
You’re definitely not the only one. I’ve known so many people who can snap their non-dominant hand far better that I decided to include that in the poll options. Most can barely get any noise from their dominant hand, though.
