Snapple Real Facts

Are they true?? I’ve heard and read a few stories about some of the facts not being true. Anyone have the real facts? Thanks in advance!

You mean Is Snapple Owned by the KKK?

This guy seems to have them listed. A few:

But several early “facts” were found to be untrue.

Dude, the story about the wedding propsal was kinda cool. I now know that if I want to propose with a Snapple bottle, I can.

No they’re not. And if anyone says they are, they’re lying and I’ll sue. Now leave me alone.

When I was on vacation in NYC earlier this year I bought a Snapple and it had the “a duck’s quack doesn’t echo” fact in the cap. It made me all homesick for my fellow Dopers.

Oh MAN…am I googling this one!

I should have checked the archives…thanks Cecil!

Only half of the “Real Facts” are true. Each number (#1 to #229 at last count) has two associated facts, one true and one false. Snapple acknowledges this and has even made a trivia game out of it on their website. Go to snapple.com and click on “Real Facts”.

I think even some of the supposedly-true facts are a little dubious. I seem to remember the “duck’s quack won’t echo” being in the “true” column.

Snapple doesn’t purposely print false facts on their bottle caps Daver914. Just on the virtual caps on the game on their web-site.

Some of the purposeful false facts:

Wearing high heels helps you tan faster.
The oldest living person is 150.
The first space suits were made entirely from styrofoam.
Acorns become lemon trees if planted in tropical soil.
