My wife and I laughed most of the time. This was the best SNL all year.
Timberlake IS great.
With the passing of the election campaign it does seem as if SNL writers have lost their great edge that they displayed the past few months. I too wish they would realize that the subject of homosexuality is not inherently funny. This lack of understanding causes most of their skits to fail in my eyes.
Timberlake was great! His music is not my style but with this performance and earlier appearances on SNL I do have a lot of respect for his abilities.
Speaking of music not being my style, there was Beyonce’s performance. As Rachael Rage mentioned, Beyonce is really is all about posing and not so much about the music, isn’t she. Did anyone else think she was lip synching? I looked at her lips movements and the microphone position and I strongly feel she was not doing a live performance.
I thought so too, but in fairness, it’s probably pretty exhausting having to stomp around the stage on those mammoth hams.
