The “scout’s honor” salute from Father Swimcoach Scoutmaster just about killed me.
I haven’t seen Kesha before, though I’ve heard of her. It seems to me that if you take Lady gaga, remove any of the artistic weirdness and replace it with prefabrocated vanilla, you get her.
I liked the Hip Hop kids, and the ESPN commentators always crack me up. Also been a while since they had the Bro Sing-along, and that one was pretty good, too. And the Shake Weight commercial was smokin’!
Can’t say Ryan P stood out much in any of those, but on the whole I thought it was OK.
I seriously don’t get Ke$ha. I’ll admit I haven’t heard much (Tik Tok being the main one), but other than being generic, it doesn’t seem like she can sing that well either.
Ke$ha is really bad. I had never heard of her before, but seriosuly, that was bad.
I liked the line in the news (paraphrasing) “Goldman Sachs was hit with a civil injunction today for advising investors to buy securities they knew would fail and WHAT?? made 47 million dollars???”
The host and musical guest were the biggest failures of this episode, everything else was pretty solid.
Ke$ha (I feel like an asshole typing that) was terrible. I had no idea she did that “I am going to ‘rap’ now because my voice can’t last through a whole single” in her other songs besides TikTok. It doesn’t come across as ‘different’ or ‘interesting’ to me, it comes across lazy. That second number with the day-glo paint? Way to steal from Sia. I thought the show sucked from end to end. The sports commentators were funny the first three times I saw them, now it’s getting old.
