This is brilliant on so many different levels. I think it’s awesome NBC did this. I also think the video is fantastic.
Too bad it couldn’t be shown on SNL w/o bleeping. But this way a phenomenon is created. And I agree…other shows will do the same.

One looked like Dominic Monaghan, but since I don’t follow SNL these days, I don’t know for sure if it was him or not. No clue about the other guy.

The one that can sing would be that Justin Timberlake.
Two of the keywords NBC placed on the video are “Andy” and “Samberg,” so I’m guessing that’s the identity of the second singer. And since this is NBC we’re talking about, I’m sealing that identity.

Given their track record, I’d assume it’s another song from the Lonely Island Guys, who also did the much imitated Chronicals of Narnia rap. Check the website www.thelonelyisland.com.

The biggest problem is that if Justin Timberlake does one more thing that I like (since his album was awesome), I’m going to have to call myself a fan. I don’t know if I can handle that.
Justin Timberlake is brilliant at comedy. I so wanted to hate him from his boy-band days, but I just can’t. Too much talent, too much hard work, and he’s got a wonderful sense of humor and is willing to make fun of himself.
I don’t much like his music, just 'cause it’s not my style. But I’m still a fan.
Here’s the result of a Youtube search on “Timberlake SNL”. Look for the skits. The amazing thing is, on a show full of comedy pros, he’s almost always the funniest person on screen. He could easily be a full-time SNL cast member if he wanted.

Seriously, this and the Narnia rap are about the only things I’ve actually laughed out loud at on SNL in just about forever!

That’s hilarious; I saw it on the show, and liked it even more this time.
Am I the only one, though, who thinks comedy is funnier when the profanity is bleeped? For instance, recall the South Park episode a few years ago when they decided to say “shit” and made a huge deal out of it? The novelty wore off after about three iterations, whereas when the profanity is bleeped it grabs your attention every single time. I find it funnier and also dirtier when it’s bleeped.
Youtube is pulling it. Better DL and save while you can (if you can).

It was “officially” uploaded by NBC; why would it be pulled?
Intially approved, the video is all over Yuotube. For whatever reason (possibly this) I tried to pull up two of them and received a youtube message saying NBC has withdrawn it’s permission to host the video. I imagine it will take them a while to get all the videos taken down.
You’re definitely not the only one who thinks so. The article quotes Seth Meyers, head writer for the show as saying, “The most interesting thing is that it’s actually not funnier uncensored.”
