I just heard that by days end we will have a foot of snow on the ground.
I was reminded of those days long past when I would sit and listen to the radio waiting for those three beautiful words.
School… is … cancelled.
My boys were ecstatic to see a sign on the door of the school saying that they were closed due to the weather.
They are beside themselves with joy.
Now I am just hoping that work will call and tell me that I can’t go into work today…
I know a few of you are scratching your heads wondering where the hell there’s still snow.
Edmonton, Alberta.
There’s a lot of it too.
It was 103 degrees here yesterday.
As a home health nurse, I was in and out of the hot car all day.
I was dripping sweat. I bought some baby-wipes and kept using them on my neck, armpits, etc. because I was stinky with sweat.
I have never said this before. Snow sounds nice.
Supposed to be a high temp of 84 F today, normal high is in the 50s. At least I got to do some gardening yesterday.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind warmth. But, er, this is a bit early. Give me some time to get used to this.
You have snow out west?
The paper said it would be 23 degrees and sunny here in Toronto today. At 11 AM, however, it remains cool, moist, and overcast.
The paper is predicting 28 degrees and sunny for tomorrow though. But I’m taking that with a grain of salt.
It’s going to be in the 80’s for the next three days here in Rhode Island. Sounds good tome.
It’s my fault. I put away the winter boots yesterday.
It began snowing within the hour.

Yikes! I woke up to those piles of snow all over, and instantly tried to go back to bed. I wish work was like school, and when it snowed, the busses stopped running, and school became instantly optional. Ah, the good old days…
Hmmm its supposed to get up to 16C here today, and around 12C all week…all we have here is a big wind that blew in from Alberta.
::peers outside::
I’m wearing shorts. It’s all nice and sunny outside. I want snow! We didn’t have a decent snowfall once this winter. And it’s just a little too late now, unless we end up with some freak snowfall in May. Darn it.

It’s in the 80s (F°) here in the DC area, which I don’t mind at all.
Unfortunately, it’s 86° (30° for furriners) here in my office .
No, I can’t open the window - I don’t have one.
Snow sounds good right now.

As soon as I saw the title to this post I knew you must live in Edmonton. Good lord what a mess it is out there.
Sounds like DeniseV was watching the same WGN weather forecast that I was watchin’ this morning!
It was damn warm today …
